Why combine?

Same replacement, boiler included.

In a CombiFlow setup (Zehnder ComfoAir WHR 930 / ComfoAir Standard) the boiler takes its combustion air from the HRV exhaust and both share one duct in the shaft, with a KIWA-certified safety valve. Replace one and you touch the other — so we replace both in one job: our fixed HRV replacement, with the boiler aligned, connected and commissioned in the same visit.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions.

How do I know if I have a CombiFlow setup?+
Common in homes from roughly 1998–2012: a Zehnder (Stork Air) ComfoAir WHR 930 or ComfoAir Standard hangs near the boiler and they share one duct to the roof via a CombiFlow connector (this applies to the Basis versions; the Luxe variant does not have this coupling). Not sure? Send a photo of your attic via WhatsApp — we will tell you right away.
Why replace both at once?+
Because in a CombiFlow setup the appliances are physically linked: the boiler uses the HRV exhaust air and they share one duct with a certified safety valve. Replacing them together means everything is re-aligned, connected and commissioned in one job — one planning, one team, one or two days of work.
Can any boiler be connected to a CombiFlow?+
No — only boilers with a CV/CombiFlow declaration (KIWA/Gastec approved) may be connected, via a concentric connection to the CombiFlow valve. We check this during the intake and quote a suitable model, so the new setup is safe and compliant.
What does it cost?+
The HRV part follows our replacement service: unit + € 1,275 labour excl. VAT (example: Q350 ≈ € 3,900 excl. VAT all-in). The boiler part depends on your situation and is quoted after a short intake. You receive one combined quote.
How long does it take?+
Usually 1–2 working days, depending on the situation. The HRV replacement itself takes 6–8 hours; the boiler is aligned in the same planning.
Which brands do you install?+
For HRV we install the Zehnder ComfoAir Q in a combi setup with the boiler (Renson is possible too). The boiler brand and type are discussed in the intake, so it matches your heating demand and existing installation.
Can I keep my existing ducts?+
In 95% of cases: yes. The new HRV unit usually fits the existing ductwork; we check this during the intake.
